Get ready to embark on a sonic journey as Music Factory Records proudly presents “Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix,” the inaugural single from Roman Angelos’ latest EP, “Tropical Nites: Remixes and Lost Tracks.” This vibrant release features an ensemble of talented musicians, including Rich Bennett on guitar, Brittany Anjou on vibraphone, Ben Zwerin on bass, Spencer Cohen on drums, Dennis Boolyoins on percussion, Rose Rutledge on flute, Kai Sandoval on trumpet, Nadav Nirenberg on trombone, and Deidre Rodman-Struck on piano.
The upcoming EP boasts remixes from renowned artists like Ursula 1000, Blake Madden of Hotels, and producer Scott Solter. Additionally, it showcases special guest collaborations with Frank LoCrasto (known for his work with Cass McCombs, Fruit Bats, and Okkervil River) and Brazilian vocalist Mari Rosa of Limoncello on the rarities tracks.
Ursula 1000’s remix of “Tropical Nites” perfectly captures the essence of summer, evoking the ambiance of a sun-soaked poolside retreat. The track opens with soothing bird calls and lush tropical soundscapes, gradually transitioning into an infectious lounge/bossa house rhythm embellished with female vocal samples and the joyous twang of steel drums. The “Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix” will be available on vinyl in a limited run of just five lathe records, exclusively at live Roman Angelos shows this fall. Each beautifully designed sleeve, crafted by UK artist MJ Langthorne, is a must-have for vinyl collectors and newcomers alike.
